lol. i had a really nice deck, but in memphis there is no hd radio, and my steering wheel controls were useless. and the adapter to make them work again was over $125. this is a cleaner look and i just have to get a car charger for the long trips with the ipod since theres no usb port.
Thats one reason why I don't want a new deck. I love my radio controls on my wheel, plus, the stock radio looks clean. I added an aux power outlet to my car. I just bought one of those extension ones in wal-mart, cut the end off of it, and wired it directly into the cigarette lighter. I ran it under the carpet, between the seats, and it fits next to the seat belt latch. I wasn't worried about overloading the circuit as I only have one thing plugged in at a time, I just wanted to get rid of the wires coming out of my cigarette lighter/ash tray. lol. You can get the cigarette lighter to usb adapter plugs that work fine with the iPods.
Drove to a small mountain town nearby, after having the front tires balanced (one was off by 2oz). Discovered that it rides better with 36psi in the front tires, and 34 in the rear, instead of the door sticker recommended 30-30psi. They run quieter and ignore road bumps, the car seems to float over the road instead of trudge along it like it does at 30psi. Anyone have any insight as to the reason why? I imagine there are some racing guys around here, who would know the particulars of tire rebound and energy transfer.
The car is a 2003 Buick Park Avenue 57k miles. Tires are Michelin Energy MXV4 plus, P225/60 R16 97H with 10k miles on them. Max psi printed on tire is 44psi. Front end is brand-new Monroe Sensa-track and rear end is brand new Monroe Max-air.

different tires like different pressures harder and softer componds. raising the pressure you are floating over the tops of everything instead of the tire conforming around stuff. the reason the oem pressure is 30 is for traction, at higher pressures you get less rolling resistance because less of the tire is touching you get better highway mileage and ride. if you drive on rougher roads slower or during the winter you want to be at the recommended pressure.
Heater Coil, (incl hoses, thermo...yada yada) Kicked my butt! I dont know what I was thinking. Lol, Took all weekend but its done and done right. Pulling that dash is a major bummer.
