Ordered new brake pads today, off to town to pick them up tomorrow. Then it'* an afternoon cruise to shine the rust of sitting a month off, give her a good bath, and put her up on blocks and tarp for the winter. Hard to believe the summer has almost passed.

Playing around with my transmission tune. Going to load it up tomorrow. My plan is to make it act a bit more like a manual transmission. Hold on to higher gears during normal driving, like turning. So it will need a bit more throttle to get it to kick down.

Ya, that'* something I'm playing with as well. Tired of it shifting all the time. No reason for it to shift when I give it say 5% throttle just because I turned a corner.

A bit late with this one, but I had a my friends old buick back in the shop. (The one I replaced the power steering cooler on about a year ago). The new power steering cooler already looks like its about to rust through along with everything else on it. Had to replace the master cylinder which was the easiest thing we did that night. Then we replaced the end links which have been snapped for a year. I still had to cut the remains off with a saws-all. A half hour and three blades later we had them off and were putting the new ones on. Then the fuel filter which looked like it was about to rust through so I knew it was past due for a change. The screw on half was easy, its the snap in part I could not get out! I ended up having to rip out the plastic clip and pry the filter off.
Also, my car gave me a bit of a scare. Noticed a little wetness under the coolant elbow and the reservoir looked like it wasn't completely full... hopefully it was just a trick of the eyes, otherwise I'll be on elbow number 6.

To bad I can't stuff it in a flat rate box. On the bright side, it would only leak on startup before and then the elbow would warp back in to the correct spot, so it would make the trip.

The tune seems to work good. Get on it a little and it shifts like it did. Under normal easy driving it shifts a bit sooner. That'* about it.
