Well, scratch the one on Craigs list. Can we say crack house????
Probably ended up going with the one I first talked about for cheap.
I talked to my Boss, he suggested I talk to his former partner, who does a lot of land lord tenant stuff. He said he'd even pay for the appointment. Got an appointment Thursday morning.

Well, we went and saw another apartment. Not too bad, typical unit in an apartment complex.
Would work out to about the same as we pay now, so that is an option. Only real down side is that it really didn't have much room for a table and chairs, and we are some of those freaks who actually sit and eat dinner as a family.
Now, as far as I see, my only real problem is money. Still don't know where the H*LL i am going to come up with about $500 or so to get a security deposit together , and possibly a stove and fridge.
Gonna be listing some stuff for sale....keep your eyes open for my fund raiser.

yea, selling stuff would be a good way to make some money. You never know what someone might be interested in (got any old tonkas? )

And as for the stove and fridge, those you could probably find a good used set for fairly cheap. You can get ones that will work for the year, then save up to get better ones when you get the house.

Remember, keep your head up. it'* only a temporary residence, so don't try and stretch yourself to get something that have everything you want. Figure out what you have to have, rate them, then compare features to cost to determine which place is going to suit you in the short term.

As far as picking a place, yeah, were not going to be overly picky as it will only be for a year or so.
I am sure I can find a decent stove and fridge. It does only have to last until we get the house, with Habitat each house comes with a brand new stove and fridge, donated my Whirlpool.
They'll get future business from me because of that one.
I wish I had old Tonkas, believe me. Of course, I'd probably still be playing with them myself.

Okay, first item is up for sale..
Also, in an attempt to save money, I just called to the cheapest level of Cable possible, and I temporarily deferred my student loans. Hated to do that, but i plan on starting them right back up after the new year. I could always afford them, and I am going to be better off financially after the holidays, so it is only temporary.

The baby'* room is the most important one anyways.

I'm sure it wont take long for the various other scents permeating from the baby'* room to overpower the new room smell

Babies smell good when they first get out of the tub...pretty much anything after that smells like poop, pee, puke, other, or some combination of those...thats been my experience anyway.

But I still cant wait to get married and have one or five.

You got the smell thing right.
But, yeah, babies and kids are pretty cool. Wives aren't too bad either.

You want another one?? I got one I'm getting kind of tired of.....

And what kind of messed up location do you live in where apartments don't come with appliances?? That just sounds wierd to me. Even the rat holes I've had to live in at times came with a fridge and stove....
