Thanks. We're probably looking at the last weekend of the month. The 26-28th.
I'll keep you posted

I have tried looking into that as this has been ongoing for months. I haven't been able to find anything yet, but I am looking.
The landlord has the Apartment Association, but they only help landlords, not tenants.
I am so frustrated, I just wanna cry, but I am trying to be strong for my family.
I tried calling a local agency who helps people with first months rent and security deposit,
and now I am even more pi$$ed. They only help when people cant afford their rent and get evicted due to a change of income.
So if I was evicted and need a new place to move to because i can't afford rent, they'll help me find a new place to move to that I can't afford, but I just need a little help with the security deposit and i am fine on rent each month, so I am screwed.
:?
Stay tuned for items I may be selling soon to try to raise some money.
Probably getting rid of a PS 2 if anyone is interested, and I have a tail light for a 92-95 Se. It came with my 95 and I forgot all about it. I'll have to check it out and see how good it is.
I probably have more stuff too, non Bonne related that I will discover in the packing process.

Thanks Mos. Honestly, I think we want to move, just to get away from the crazies, plus I don't want to give the land lord another penny of my rent money. If this is how he is going to treat us, I don't want to be here.
I just don't want him to be able to get away it either.

Hmmm.not sure if htat helps or hurts. Our lease does clearly state that the land lord has the right to terminate for any reason with a 30 day written notice.
he did give a written notice personally delivered, so we'll see.
This lease is the standard lease by the apartment association that pretty much every land lord in town uses.

Know your rights. It'* best to consult a PA attorney (as you already plan to).

I know the other side of the business quite well (landlord). In MI, tenant rights far outweigh landlord rights. What Bill said applies to MI as well, you can stay in the property up to 90 days while in dispute. A sheriff'* eviction can't occur until a judge has ordered it. Worst case scenario, you're still 90 days away from that actually happening due to court timelines.

I know it'* easy for me to say since I'm not directly involved in the situation (and I don't have kids to protect), but I say stay there for a while. Let the landlord try to evict you. Attempt to pay him rent. If he accepts it, he'* obligated to let you stay there. But again, know your rights.

I would be looking for somewhere else to go. You mentioned you looked at another apartment that was cheaper each month? Was that a decent place for you and your family?

Even though you can probably legally stay where you are for 90 days or whatever, why would you want too? It seems to be driving you and your family up the wall.

I say look into that other place, a stove and fridge shouldnt be too hard to find, and that extra 100 bucks a month you would be saving wouldnt take too long to pay for them.

I say ride it out for a little while longer while figuring out your options, seeing whats available and at what cost, and just being patient.

Keep us posted, we all wanna see how this one pans out for you.

Thanks guys.
In all honesty, I think we are just going to move. I have actually been packing this morning.
The cheaper apartment was decent enough to last for the year or so. I just hate the thought of having to settle for something not as nice as what we have now, when we were driven out of it. Does that make sense??
All in all, I am just tired of fighting.
I have always hated it, and I don't want it around me anymore. If we can just get away from this situation, my family will be better off. The wife and I don't even enjoy our home anymore, we hate being here knowing they are home, or could be home anytime. That is no way to live. I just hate that we have to be inconvenienced because of other peoples selfishness and immaturity. But, hey, what can you do???
