NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Where ever you go to, make DAMN sure they use stainless. That'* what our cars came with from the factory, so they have to use it when they repair your car. And unless the Magnaflows are cheaper than the stock peices, you'd have to pay the difference. Sometimes insurance companies won't even do that.

The cop said i have to get two quotes for insurance. Can i get the quotes, report to the insurance and collect the money? From there i can do whatever i want. I'll hint to the shops that the guy had insurance and maybe they'll adjust accordingly.

Dont tell them its for insurance... they are usually more conservative then...
Itemize everything you know is hurt and tell them that you want it REPLACED. THEN have them figgure out what ELSE is damaged and in need of repair. Then give you a quote based on that.
(Trust me i just got through with one of these ordeals : http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=32110 )
You can probably get your whole car repainted + more if you do most of the major work yourself!

Ive experienced a friend put a 4t60-E into park at 30mph with no damage except a bruise on his forehead (a good laugh-at conversation peice for a few weeks)
Another friend put his (91 Bonne) into reverse at 20-30, but i assume the TCC absorbed most of that without damage.
