To me, the concept that someone stays with your or leaves based on taking a two week trip together should not be the basis of an eleven year relationship!

You both need the two week separation...trust me on that. And no, she can't come along...that would totally defeat the purpose. Even if she says to you, "I want you back today"...say "great...but I'm still going."

Plot is thickening. I went to pick her up this morning after she dropped off the Bonneville to get the AC fixed. She then wanted to take me out for breakfast. I pretty much laid it on the line and told her that she needs the alone time and even if she wants me back and I am NOT with someone else, I may just have to let her be single for a bit to make damn sure this is what she really wanted.


I think things are going fairly well. I know and I think she knows that it will not work out with this new guy, but I will be gone for 2 weeks and alot can happen in that time frame, PLUS when I get back, she may be gone to another province to work for up to 8 weeks. So she may be with him or not on this job since they both are in the same line of work.


On another note, when I was at breakfast the waitress was an old friend from high school. I am thinking of going back there and giving her my card with my number on it and tell her to call me .

Don't forget to tell the waitress you'll be back from holiday (vacation for us) in two weeks.
