I been there a few times myself, man. My only advice is stay strong, hang with some friends (just don't chase them off with a constant pity party, let 'em distract you some), bitch when ya gotta, cry when ya gotta, and things will happen....

Stay strong man. This story hits home for me too. I am my g/fs first everything, (relationship, intimate partner, etc). Whats happening to you is my bigest fear. Stay strong and just know that we are all here for you.

Kudos to you on still being there for her to come back too. Most people (including myself) wouldnt do that.

Being on both sides (leaving and being left) I can attest that time heals all wounds. Take it one day at a time and live your life as if you wont be back together. This will make things easier IMO.

If a woman loves you and has been with you through thick and thin for 11 years, and then one day tells you that she wants to be with other men to try it out, then I know my decision would be simple.

1) support her and let her go
2) Transfer all of the things your paying for into her name and address and let her pay for them from now on
3) Move on

It also seems that had she not traveled with this other guy for work, the opportunity would have never presented itself.

I know this is a difficult time for you weather you thought it was coming or not, but hang in there. the BC family is here for ya. and keep yourself occupied.

can anyone imagine the holy hell that would brake loose if a guy said to his girlfriend "I'd like to try that hot chick over there for awhile, let'* break up temporarily and when I'm tired of that, get back together"?
I don't know about you, but just the practical health reasons would make me say if you (she) goes through with it , it'* over for good.
there is something to say for breaking up (timeout) while remaining "faithfull", and getting back together after your heads are clear for another try.

just my .02 (keep the change)

edit: you can be my shotgun driver to wcbf, that'* cool.

I understand how hard it is right now, and you feel like you will never love anyone that way again. And you are right, you will never love someone the way you love(d) her, it will be different. You need to take one day at a time, make no major decisions, and slowly you will find yourself on the mend.

You are right about this place being like therapy, you can say what you need to and you know that we have your back.

Okay I am done, we are off, see everyone at WCBF..............

I'm sorry you are having to go through this! It is a terrible thing to deal with. Give yourself time and you will come to realize that you cannot find the right one if you are hooked up with the wrong one. I've had my share of Mr. Wrong and I know I am better off without them.

Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day and you will have to take it day by day. I can vouch for how great these BC members are at helping you during those rough patches in life.

Wow, that is a tough one. I don't really know either of you very well, except for your posts here, but like everbody has said, we are here for you. I went to WCBF last year only knowing people'* screen names, but left with a new extended family. Obviously we can't replace what you have with Renee, but we'll do our damnedest to take care of you.
