got hands on a puller with a long enough threaded rod to yank pulley. woodruff key should come right out from crank correct? the old balancer was so shot i am hoping the key did not get banged around so much causing damage to key/slot.
not wanting to pull oil filter/housing engine cover...

i took my first ride in a l67 powered car. 
fuel pressure hits 45psi max during prime and falls back to 42. stays @ 42psi on ilde and goes to 46 with vacuum line off fpr. i thought i read somehwere that it should be 48-52??

Have you checked out the fuel filter? You shouldn't need a pump replacement after just those few miles. Also, you shouldn't be running lean with that pressure anyway. It'* probably going to be a concern if you start modding the engine.

maybe my test gauge reads low but i doubt it

Are you going to mod the car a whole lot? You seem to be all set to ride like that for a long, long time. That fuel pressure is really good, in fact. Mine is about 39, and I went to the stock pulley to stop anything from going wrong. Sure, something can still go bad, but the car is running fine.

well now that it is established that the engine runs [and well] and the transmission shifts nicely i need to change all the belts, hoses on it. so i figured it would be a practical time to put a smaller pulley on the supercharger. car will also need an exhaust some time soon so why not upgrade.

Chris, since you're not doing much more to it, please don't do anything to the exhaust because it'* perfectly good enough. The car won't be as skippy off the line if you put on wider exhaust piping.
But for the money you save with that, you could do a cold air intake or even a fender well intake. That would be far, far better.
