See what a tear down reveals.

I'm 90% sure headgasket. Think about it, head gasket goes - boost into coolant system - radiator explodes.

Also, you can see exhaust gasses coming up through the valve cover. And it does it 1 per revolution. You can't see it on the vid, but there is just as much smoke coming up through the radiator.

if you really think the HG went, find someone with one of those leakdown testers, pressurize the cylinder with compressed air, see if it effects the radiator.

in the meantime, drain oil at absolute minimum.

I'll have a compression tester later this evening. Right now Ima pull some plugs and see what they look like.

Why harping on draining oil?? If there isn't coolant in the oil then don't drain it. So far he says there'* coolant in the cylinders and possibly exhaust in the radiator...

Neither have anything to do with the oil.

Jon.. you sure about that exhaust? Usually an HG leak doesn't blow a radiator in half. You took a lot of coolant likely into the turby.. Although if you are concerned abotu an HG..I'd pull the plugs and see which one looks ugly.

compression test isn't AS reliable, but it may be enough.

1. Pull dipstick and see if oil needs to be drained (although..at that point you're yanking a motor)
2. Pull plugs and read them. Should tell you which cylinder to compression test
3. Get the new rad in there and fire her up with the cap off. Look for bubbies.
4. Get lucky and just have a bad radiator.

if you want to see if the smoke is just coming from the engine. pull off the exhaust at the down pipe or turbo and see if it still is blasting smoke.

I pulled the plugs. #4 is wet, but I can't tell what kinda fluid. It doesn't smell like gas. Bill, I can definitely see 8psi of boost plus the compression of an exhaust stroke getting blown into the coolant system ripping a 21yo radiator apart.

EDIT: There is a good bit of fluid coming out the exhaust.
