Well this finally proves my point the designer is a pice of work. Don't sell the good cars anymore. Well we should all go to Detroit and tell GM that they need to get rid of the lead designer and tell him to kiss our ***.

It would be interesting...
This is the **&^ you are building..... This is what you used to build.... Hmm 90,000 of these sold, 80,000 of these sold....
And now... 30,000 of these... not quite 30,000 of these because GM was too optimistic about what it thought the public wanted and what it felt it was going to sell...
Heck I think in 1991 with the end run of the 87-91 bonnies, they stopped production in may or so to begin production of the 92 bonnies... They sold 50,000 1991 LE bonnevilles if memory serves... I have 1 of those 50,000.... And I have seen 5 or 6 identicall to mine locally... People too the horn at me and I have no idea who they are... There were very few 1991 SSE'* and SE'* made in 91... Hard to come by...
92-95 and 96-97 were great years too... With the 2000 models the sales seemed to drop like a rock....
Even my aunt has a 2001... She wishes she would have kept her 98... What does that tell you... My cousin still has her 95 SLE...
Oh well I'm ranting again...

I haven't owned any later gens, but my 95 was solid as a rock. Nothing ever broke on it, and nothing was ever done to it, minus normal maintenance. They don't build cars like that anymore.

Its amazes me that my 91 still at 120,000 miles has the original struts all the way around... Shot, but it still rides good... And is rattle free... I thought for sure by now the 91 would be on its way out of this world... But its still going... No rust either...lol
The 95 is ok... Been a good car... Quirks and rattles I'm correcting and chasing... But I still like driving it...

The early cars are built very well. About 2 days ago I ran off the road and hit a small concrete culvert and hit a hill on the other side. When I got out to check and see if the car was alright it was except for the right rear tire had blown out and the wheel is ruined. I will probably take it to the dealership and get them to do a thourough check of the car. If you want to see picts. look on car domain.

Has the last one rolled off the assembly line yet? If so, anyone know what date the last one was produced? Does this mean it'* time to change the subject of this topic to "Bonneville Has Ceased Production!"

That is a good question. I think what they should do is do the 50th anniversary and then stop production. But I hope they keep the Bonneville in production for a long time to come.
