It is just a matter of bad choices from GM. Instead of making the current models better, they just keep comming up with new models to replace the present ones. We liked the 2000+ bonnevilles. But for 2005, she was due for a major design change. Both exterior and interior.

Don't you guys think that the same thing could happen to the G8 and G6? They have to keep restyling the models so that the buyers are interested.

This is VERY sad news...

My first car was a 89 Bonneville...how I loved that car!

I'd STILL be driving her today if I didn't drive it too hard and kill the transmission.

A moment of silence for one of the finest automobile models there was...

Ok, time to yell:

THIS IS NOT NEWS AT ALL! IT'* JUST A BUNCH OF CONFLICTING RUMORS!!!!! WE DON'T KNOW JACK **** ABOUT THIS, SO IGNORE IT ALL UNTIL WE HEAR SOMETHING OFFICIAL FROM GM!

PLEASE people, quit perpetuating rumors and stories. For every rumor posted here, I can post a counter-rumor.

This is getting ridiculous.

This is getting really frustrating. Nobody has heard ANYthing. Period.

I heard once that Hillary Clinton is a lesbian. I also heard that she'* not. Flip a coin, but until she'* caught on tape, we'll never know.

Same holds true for the future of the Bonneville. And I'm quite certain the Admins will know something more reliable before anything is made public.

WAIT! Stop the presses, look what I just found!

Detroit (AP)
General Motors, in a press release dated 2/4/05 announced that the Bonneville would be removed from the Pontiac lineup effective with the release of the 2006 models. It will be replaced with the G9, a RWD performance 2-door coupe with an inline 9 cylinder engine with 603 cubic inches of displacement, and a reworked Allison transmission. The G9 will also be available with a base drivetrain L27 mated with the more reliable 4T60E tranmsmission in an effort to regain reliability. A turbo option will be available on the SXE model (mid-grade) for those wanting a bit more performance.

Further details were not available at press time.
