Well in my opinion if they are going to still make the bonneville please make it have a different look to them instead of basing it on the GP. I get them confused sometimes because of the similarities. I think another reason that they are making them look like the Grand Prix is so the younger generation will buy them. When people my age think of the Bonneville they think of an old persons car. If they ever get the change to drive one they will find out they are a hell of a lot better than a Honda Civic.

2005 will and is the last build year for the Bonneville... for 2006 the bonneville is dropped from the lineup...
Talked to the local pontiac dealership and they we not too hapy to see it go from the lineup...
And as far as a replacement, so far there isn't one.... From what they have said GM has decided to hold off for now...
So the Bonneville is dead.... This is the last production year...

It'* just progression. GM is hurting badly right now. They need to drop what they can to make room for something new.
Living in the Motor City, this worries me. This whole area is basically run by the auto industry. When that goes down, the entire Detroit area goes down as well. Michigan knew it had to invest in other industries 30 years ago, but nothing happened. Now the state is paying for it.
I hope GM can bounce back. Thankfully Ford and Chrysler are hanging in there.

Let'* just pray that they don't pull out of NASCAR. Pontiac pulled out two years ago, but Chevy remains, and still holds the win record. All the GP drivers switch to MC'* two years ago, including Tony Stewart.

Let me throw in my 2 foolish cents.....
For the longest I have felt that Pontiac was not building a car that everyone really wanted... Got to the point that Pontiacs all looked alike... Fabrics seem like they got cheaper...
I saw an 88 GP a few days ago, great shape too.... It was a fully loaded SE, Had every option except the sunroof... Almost as may options as the 88-91 SSE... The lady wanted the car looked at and an opinion on what the car was worth, the owner was asking $800... We told her the car was in great shape, and if she didn't buy it I would... These were the days where Pontiac was making a car appealing... what ever happened to that?
The GP'* the Bonneville'* the GrandAm'* and the Transports all had a look of their own, and just stood apart from the rest of GM....
The 88-91 and 92-95 Bonnies just looked mean, looked like they were on the move while standing still... I like the 96-99 Bonnies as well, but they body cladding got a little flat in my opinion...
In later years they added junk like the A$$tec... The ugliest thing I have ever seen... And the Matrix... Yeah we all know it a Toyota...
Buick seems to have the only cars that really look good... I saw a LaCrosse at the dealership, That was a beautiful car... Then I looked at the Vin to see it was a W body... Nice looking car none the less... And it was in black
Then you have the GXP Bonnie with the 4.6.... Is it really worth $38,000....
And a cheapie SE would have been $27,000....
I know things need to change, But a pontiac will never be a BMW or Mercedes... Its a pontiac...GM product...
Was it Chryslers saying a long time ago? Lead, follow or get out of the way?
Looks like GM can't even get out of the way....
Oh well.... end of my useless rant...
