Default 2001 Silverado

I have a 2001 Silverado I am having trouble with the keyless entry. I have gone through 3 different fobs all brand new. I have matched fob PN with receiver PN, I’ve gone through every programming procedure. And nothing.

when I try to program I hold the unlock cycle key twice and the doors will lock then unlock. (Occasionally it will lock them it sounds like it want to cycle but I just hear clicking near fuse panel). Any advice helps.

You're getting it into programming mode, but not actually programming the fobs. Do this:

1. All doors closed.

2. Insert a known-good key in ignition switch.

3. Press and hold [unlock] button on the driver'* door panel. Do not release instructed.

4. Turn the ignition on, off, on, off.

5. Release the power unlock button on the driver'* side door panel.

5a. The vehicle should respond by locking and unlocking automatically. If locks cycle then continue to step 6. If anything else happens, remove the key and start over.

6. Hold the [lock] and [unlock] buttons on the remote at the same time until door locks cycle again. This could take up to 30 seconds.

7. Repeat step 6 for all additional remotes old/new/etc.

8. After all remotes have been programmed, turn ignition on. This will exit programming mode.

9. Turn ignition off.

10. Remove key and test all remotes.
