Default Keyless entry

I have a 2004 Venture van that has power locks but didn't come with keyless entry. I see the fuse in place in the fuse panel for keyless entry. I have checked the build numbers and verified that it wasn't shipped with keyless entry. What would I have to get from a wrecked vehicle to get the keyless entry working?

The keyless entry control module,
The KECM wiring
A dealer with a Tech 2 programmer to reprogram your PCM and BCM with the KE configuration.

It'* more trouble than it is worth. But what intriques me is, I thought all GM vehicles came stock with KE after 2002?

Try this test,
Get in car, close all doors
Hold down the door LOCK button
Cycle key to ON(Not start) and back to OFF 3 times.
Let go of the power lock button. If doors lock and unlock by themselves, then you have KE but no remotes. That'* the programming procedure for remotes.

if you have to have it programed its not worth the money, you can get a aftermarket remote start w/ke for 40-50 bucks usually around 20 for the passkey adapter

Will this test work on an 1996 Bonneville SE 3.8L

Try this test,
Get in car, close all doors
Hold down the door LOCK button
Cycle key to ON(Not start) and back to OFF 3 times.
Let go of the power lock button. If doors lock and unlock by themselves, then you have KE but no remotes. That'* the programming procedure for remotes.
