Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

I finally did it! 1500w rms!

Default I finally did it! 1500w rms!

So i hooked up the MA Audio hk2000d yesterday, kept it at 4 ohm (750 rms) just to see the differance between this MA and my Soundstream. The bass was clearer.

But i just had to do it, along with encouragment from all of you... I wired it to 1 ohm (1500-1800w rms depending on voltage) and it hits SOOO hard! I can do a pop can trick with my arm rest down.

HOWEVER my voltage gauge is showing that my charging system is getting taxed pretty bad! Time for a 1/5 farad cap.. LOL J/K!

Umm, yeah, now you might have a slight hint at what my Hifonics 15" 1600W RMS sub was doing at 1 OHM. Making it hard to breathe.

Now if your box was tuned to the Sub, you would have an even better Experience

Now your box is perfect for your application! Just make sure your gain is set right so you don't start burning your coils. That sucks about your charging system though, I have my 12'* running on a Sundown SAZ-1500D that does 1500+rms at 12.6v and up on stock electrical and my voltage rarely drops below the mid 13'* at full bore.

Now let'* see a vid of this beast gettin' down! And most of all, that pop can trick
