Ok security light. When I crank it stays lite. When I stop cranking with door closed it stays lite. When I open dooe it blinks.
I can remember previously that it would stay lite for about 2-3 mins then go off.
Argh. Whats next I can't afford a mechanic. If this is bad I might trade it in. I can only do so much....

James..if it'* a security light issue...about $ .30 yeah..30 cents worth of resistors might be needed to bypass the vats.
Try cleaning your key pellet and give it another whirl while we are awaiting the manual guru to get home to his coverless manual. (woof woof)

I am wondering if the vats issue finally caught up to you. Keep us informed and I can check my coverless manual when I get home.

While he'* getting dinner (pot roast sounds good) can we clear up a few things.
#1 - I thought Vats wasn't an issue if the starter is turning over the motor. Yes? No? Different years do different things?
#2 - Will the engine start with a bad crank sensor?
#3 - Will the engine start with a bad Cam sensor?
#4 - Should there be dielectric grease under the coils to prevent corrosion?
