On this car I only want to put money into it that I really have to.The boots are fine on pass side, the drivers side boot was the problem at first now it is noisy.

Took the car to buddy at speedy, he was a good guy charged $60 cash for cv axle and said to me it was a real bitch and I would have been lucky to get out at home.Took core back and got my cash couldnt be happier about takin it in rather than doin it myself.
Since the CV joint failure was attributed to a compromised boot, the other side may or may not be good to go for many more kilometers. I am not familiar with the service history of this specific vehicle, nor the financial constraints of the owner, the decision on how to proceed is ultimately left to the owner. And it sounds like he got it fixed at a price he can live with, so happy motoring!
