Yep, if only I could shovel that motor into the Bonnie'* nose. But, it'* a fun toy. I've lit the tires up with just popping the throttle...WOT from a standing start took the car sideways. Looks like adhesion to the pavement is gonna be a real problem without the slicks on. Still some clean up work to do, the power steering has to go back on the car. Manual steering used to be tolerable to me...not any more, I'll admit that I can't hack it anymore.

Speaking of the Bonnie..it'* practically bouncing up and down on it'* wheels "Is it my turn yet, is it, is it???" My in-laws are comming down next week, so after they leave it will be time to roll the Bonnie into the garage and get started on installing the supercharged motor in it.

The other crazy thing showed up in the mail the other day...a carb aluminum intake manifold for a 302 Ford. For the moment, it'* just a gag to play on a friend who is a Mustang nut....but later on who knows...still have thoughts of building an AC Cobra.

Ok, last video...test run from a cold start with the Holley 750cfm 4160

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VteC38GdTYo

I've got a bit of a tick going on at idle...I've got to take off the valve covers and see if I can isolate it. It goes away as the motor comes off idle, so I'm guessing I have one bad hydraulic lifter

Ok, new lifters in, along with a fair amount of billet parts to dress up the motor.

So...IT IS DONE!!!!! (Finally, I can move on to the next project while I drive this one around. )

Cool! I see you've got a different filter now. That car is beautiful! I would love to see that engine in a Bonneville! (nudge, nudge)

Thanks All...it'* a fun project.

All this and it gets about 10 to 13mpg.. I got to lean it out/fiddle with the carb and Transmission to see if I can get that up a bit. I was hoping for the 15 to 18mpg, but I might have to just accept that it is what it is. I'm pretty certain I've cracked 350hp/300lb-ft. numbers. A pool is currently going on at work amongst the gearheads. High estimate is above 400hp at the wheels.

Kim described the car pretty well... "It'* just 'effin mean."

The filter (K&N 14x3) is a bit of a nod to Florida weather. With an open cowl induction system, I could just mentally picture the first thunderstorm turning the paper filter to mush being sucked down the intake.

Does this belong in a Bonnie?...sure, somebody bring me an 60'*/70'*/early 80'* RWD Bonneville and we can do the same thing to it. (Probably get it to thunder down the road the same way )
