Thanks,

The goal is to get down to the 12'* in the qtr. It'* run 13'* on the last motor (a 350cid sbc) but this 420cid motor has never been to the track. That adventure is to be done sometime between now and the F-body meet in Memphis, TN this comming May.

But, getting this project moving again will free up some garage space for doing the L67 transplant into the '90 Bonnie. (the rebuilt motor is still sitting on an engine stand waiting it'* turn.)

How I spent my Saturday....

Welp, FedEx delivered a new throttle base on Thursday, and a set of rims on Friday. So, the day started with this:

Two trips to Discount Tire to get pairs of tires mounted and balanced on the new rims and a stop a WalMart for more carb cleaner....

And ended with what I hope is a functional 750cfm rebuilt carb. Will know tomorrow how well if functions. The Bonneville'* engine swap is comming closer and closer to being a reality. This project Camaro is about wrapped up and back on the road again.

I Love the smell of carb cleaner in the morning.... it smells like...like...Victory.

hopefully my 3rd gen will look like this by next year. I already have a 700r4 rebuilt with corvette internals and other race parts, and i have an LT1 ready to get rebuilt and beefed up. good luck finishing up all the little parts.
