My '99 Saturn SL2 5-speed had 98,000 miles when I bought it. The guy just replaced the crank and one or 2 rods, replaced rings, bearings. I have 253,000 miles now 7 years later. I've had to replace both front wheel bearings, rear struts, rear stabilizer links. It gets 38-40 mpg.Does good in the snow. Makes a real good work car. Not much room for a family but you can drop the rear seats down and you can haul a few 8' 2x4'* and close the trunk.
