Sure enough last night Dan gets the engine together and the *** fuel supply o-ring leaks. Pull UIM again... I offered up my 4foot prybar with indexing end.

This car is such a winner. It'* on it'* 4th set of LIM'*, 2nd set of HG'* and a timing cover at 78K miles. Buttoned it up, test drove it. Parked. Then moved it in the lot.. check engine light was back on. I walked away from it, not my issue.

Abandon it on the spot. I'd have done more, didn't have a can of gas or lighter on me.

60 degree Ford reject motors.

I just sold the TGP to Bxx. I don't have the will or the wallet to fix this engine again. The guys at 60* have basically determined that the junkyard engine I bought has been overheated. The heads are slightly warped (aluminum ya know) causing HG failure under high boost. I don't have the money to pull the engine and swap it for a new one. I also don't have the patience.

Bxx will take good care of it though. He already had planned a build similar to mine for a different car, so he has a garage full of goodies to throw at the TGP, including a low mileage 3500, OBD2 ECM, fuel system, a 4T60E, a new interior and LOTS of suspension and braking upgrades. I'm selling the wheels and Megasquirt (sold!) separately. The car will be leaving on the 21st. He knows that the terms of the sale include a required 12 sec 1/4 mile run by the end of the year.

My next project is an electric vehicle conversion. So I'm in the market for a cheap, lightweight, RWD, manual car with a blown engine.

ive been thinking the same requirements. i think a third gen fbody would meet all those and be aero dynamic enough to get good range on the highway. plus the suspension is heavy enough that not much beefing for the battery weight.
