Only thing I can think of that would cause static in the radio would be the timer/controller circuit that controls power to the heating grid. DC circuits(direct current) normally do not cause static noise in radio circuits, unless it were a DC motor.

If you could get your hands on a small AM/FM radio and turn it to the AM band, hold it close to every module you can find in the car. When the static gets the loudest, you found your culprit.
