yes the 8 digit is a 4
ok did a compression test today
cyl 1 dry 80 wet 90
cyl 2 dry 75 wet 100
cyl 3 dry 65 wet 90
cyl 4 dry 110 wet 140
my ? is if jumped time will get bad compression

Yes, those readings are low...jumped timing? well, you did say you replaced the chain....did you replace the chain tensioner too?

this engine was also known for head gaskets, but I think you have to double check the timing on the chain....

Don't remeber if i changed tensioner or not. am with you on that jump time, that is what is next and mybe a leak down test. thanks
