Default 2005 Pontiac Bonneville GXP #2

Ok so i was driving from work and i saw my battery volts just slowly creeping down , i made it home then the battery saver activated, i waited about 2 hrs and the battery was still a little dead , i put my battery from my other car in there and it worked fine, went to work and come out the car almost didnt start, was driving home again and the dic , gauges , and all light were just goin haywire, please tell me im right , its the alternator??

It was the alternator like i thought🤷

Ya nothing worse than an alternator on the way out. Just for curiosity, how many miles did you get on that one?

Bought at 164xxx , now its at 172xxx , ive changed the whole cooling system, (hoses, fans, thermostat ect,) ,now the big 3 (battery, wires and alternator) , and doing the control arms, shocks/struts and steering tmrw, they didnt maintain the basic really.

Curious, you said you did the big 3, I plan to do so also on my 2006 GT, and I am not sure where to look for the ground strap that runs from the engine block to the frame.
Is that where you ran one ground?
Or did you ground from alternator ground to frame?

i grounded the alternator to the frame
