Oh..Been there..tried that. Without a lift you may as well start by cutting the car in half.

Off to find the picture.

Edit...can't find it. Basics are w/o a lift. You aren't going to be successful. The drivetrain is about 3.5 feet high and to bring the car up that high w/o a lift is near impossible.

(I looked for the pic of Randman'* donor car, held by fog light holes and a hoist...)

Both trans and engine can go out together through the top w/o a problem.

I can start anytime Friday. Bob and I have been discussing times to clean up my engine bay before we work, but we can adjust to your schedule, Thomas.

As far as someone coming from out of town, I have no idea who that would be or where you heard it. The only person I can think of is Doug, and as far as I know he will be remaining in Iowa while we're doing the swap. I'll have to leave a set of twins for him via web video

There are a few guys with lifts in their hangars at the airport, but I don't know any of 'em well enough to request their use.

So, Thomas....I take it by the discussion that you were not sucessful in getting the engine hoist back? If not is there a chance I could go pick it up tonight or tomorrow? Do we need to see if anyone else has one we can borrow? Or do we just need to rent one?

Enquiring minds want to know.

I have a phone number for the guy that has my lift and I have left messages.
If he doesn't call me tonight I'm going to be in his driveway blocking his car and he won't go to work until I get my equipment back.
i loaned him some tools in good faith, if he doesn't give it back I'll cause some good old fasion trouble for him.

I'm fine with pulling the engine from the top, I figure the bonneville will have a lot more room then the GP does.

The Arizona hitman thing doesn't really fit them. lol

You guys are welcome to use the hoist I borrowed uh..2 years ago. I've been trying to give it back since. The owner got used to having empty space in their garage.

Be careful with that. He could quite easily call in a tow truck and have your car towed from his property...

I was able to get in touch with the guy that has my lift.
He is in Laughlin NV. He will be returnin to AZ Friday night.
We can pick it up irst thing Saturday morning.
He said he thinks he'll be back in town around 02:00 and I hope to be sleeing then.

It'* all good now on the front of the lift however.....

I won't have my HPtuners adaptor back in time, long story.
Ben, you'll have a wacked out speedo until I get my adaptor back. Sorry but you need to drive with the flow of traffic in the mean time.

It looks good for the most part.
