Steering felt soft. I asked you why: You said Magnasteer. I don't like soft steering.

No.

Changing the octane of my gas is one thing, so is coolling the engine and getting a slight boost from Methanol. I don't want to use Nitrous.

Cheap horsepower owns at least until you put a rod through the block.

Not being a daily driver, I'd go for it.

I would advise against a 3" straight thru system. Not that it is a bad system, but it was too much for this 3800. I would go with a 2.5-2.75" pipe, and spend the time to get it mandral bent and to remove what bends you can. The smaller size will promote better air flow. I notice my wide open pipes caused turbulance thu the exhast due to not useing all the avaialble space. I would focus more on getting a good quality muffler and cat (yes, cat. I originnaly omitted mine and regret it). Just keep the flow at a 2.5-2.74" pipe diameter and make the pipe as bend free as possible. 3" is just too much, and that is coming from expeirince.

How are you going to run the water injection? You add any type of Methanol and spray it through the */c it will strip off the coating. I'd honnestly forget the water injection I think it is going to be too hard to tune without a tuner... if you are going to inject anything I'd do N2O. I'd also go with a higher gearing like 3.33 and a highter stall converter. That can easily get you 2-3 tenths in the 1/4 mile. The exhaust isn't going to be that important other then the downpipe and cat. I'd install a removable race pipe for the track.
