Received email 13 days ago saying it had been shipped and I have still not received it. Contacted the seller about this........will keep ya'll updated
Rubber does not flex like silicone. Silicone is there to give way to torquing of the engine, and the movements of the airbox/induction.
Basically it gives, instead of making a solid hookup.

These guys have everything you need to make the intake but filters. 18" lengths of polished aluminum for $26, silicone elbows 45 and 90*, reducers, 90* reducers, hose clamps... You name it. You can get a 45* 3" elbow, pipe, reducer if you need it, fro the price of the rice pipe at Autozone.
