Ya, as long as the 97pcm will support all the necessary things like perf shift, perf ride, trac cont, etc, and it should if it'* an SSEi, then you will be set. A homemade harness which utilizes the common trans wires (shift sol A, B, TCC, TCC PWM) and adds new wires for -65 specific controls, will be needed. And the -65 trans plug.
I have an Excel spreadsheet of the PCM Pinouts, including connector diagrams, Pin Wire Color, Circuit No., Function, Component Connector Cavity, DTC(*) and Affected Possible Symptoms From a Faulty Circuit for the 1996 and 1997 Bonnevilles.
