Hey guys, finally got the engine out there and on the engine stand. This isn't much of an update but I do have pics! This coming week I hope to try to get the fiero'* steering rack back in and start working on prepping the cradle and engine bay to receive the engine while I'm waiting for parts for the S1. Now for the pics -

We've had a black block vote, but I think you should do some obnoxious color like bright yellow. Just my 2 cents.

Ok, what I would do next is check all the surfaces for trueness and make sure all the oil and coolant passages are clean. maybe chase the threads of all the bolt holes to clean them out. Then prime and paint. here is a link to some good options...

The DE1616 is almost the exact color of the exterior of my car, its 1 shade darker.

I'm looking into the new camshaft. They want to know how many lbs of boost I plan on making. I want to have the pully size all the way down to 2.3". Have any of you had experience in going below 2.5"? And will I be making ~15lbs of boost at 2.3"? I'm in the process of getting the master build kit ordered also

Not quite 15 with stock valvetrain and exhaust. With any porting/exhaust/valvetrain/cam work it'* gonna be lower. With a Gen 3 and all that with a 2.3, you may get 11 or 12.

With my ported heads and 1.8 rockers, I make BARELY 10-11 psi on a 2.3" pulley depending on temp/humidity etc. I hit 11 on cold mornings. 10 to 10.5 most other days.
