Yep...I'm a moron.
Did the most unimaginably stupid thing today.
Backstory is, it had already been a long day...drove for 5 hours, took a hike for a few hours before that...on and on...I was pretty much 100% fatigued.
Got to Wilmington, NC, to my uncle in laws house, around 5 PM today. Actually had never met him before. So about 10 mins into the conversation, his GTO pops up as a topic. Black, 2006 overbored, blown and intercooled GTO, pushing ~600hp.
He decides to show me what it can do...so we hop in and he, used to it, takes it out does some crap with it...I'd recommend Depends be standard issue.
Well this is all good...and then...after hearing what an excellent driver I am from quite a few people, he tells me to take it out. Now me being all tired and all..I get a second wind mindset, having the opportunity to play with this....
So I got in, backed it out, and went down the road to the stop sign..about a mile road.
Got to the stop sign, was attempting a right, looked left, saw a car a little ways down and thought, oh no problem, i can make it out there. (not that big a deal, even if i was driving the truck) So I naturally responded like I would with a normal car...about 1/2-3/4 throttle to get moving...well..dumbass me, HELLOOOOO, we're talking about a 3500lb, rwd, 550-600hp coupe. hit it...IMMIDIATELY lost the back end, but kept it in a straight line...dead center in the lane...but then it went to the right, and the back to the left, I over corrected, and somehow, my foot only caught the edge of the brake and i hit the gas AGAIN., now did a 180, caught the brake again, by this time 100 feet later, backwards from the direction i was going...and sliding off the road...happened within 10 seconds or less....felt like a really bad nightmare.
seems like the lamest way to screw up a car...but yeah, this is proof...driving fatigued is just as bad as being drunk.
I'll let the pics explain. Sorry, only had the phone on me. :?

The title says a lot
If I had a car that powerful, I would NEVER let anyone drive it, so I think a lot of it was his fault. If his car has 600 hp, you'd need to know how to drive it. It wasn't all your fault IMO. Heck, I don't even let anyone drive the Impala, and it'* probably the slowest car in the club
