I lost 30 pounds this summer by not drinking Coke, eating more healthily (is that a word?) and riding a bike 32 kms. (20 miles) every day for 10 weeks. I started out taking 2-1/2 hours, and got it down to 1-1/2 hours to do the same 32 km. route. I think the key is to realize it is a life style change, not a simple and quick way to looking like Kai. I also agree with the advice not to take supplements. If you eat right, you don't need them. They are very expensive, and at best do nothing for you. At worst, they could damage you.
Drink lots and lots and lots of water. Then drink more.

You re very correct, dump the soda. I gave up soda a few years back. I drink between 1 gal and 1.5 gals of water every day. I always have a water bottle around. I refill them until I loose the bottle.

Come and live in Purgatory. Its a place where being fit just happens. We till our backyards and grow our own vegetables. Drop trees, cut, split, and stack our own winter fuel (I use 8-10 full cords a winter). Hand shovel approx 6-8 feet of snow a year because snow blowers dont work so well on gravel. I with Dan on the supps and vits. Not needed and without intense workouts wont work. Eat right and get exercise.
BTW, fighting has little to do with size per/se. At 6'4" 250lbs, I havent had my azz beat much, but a 150 pound wirey local whooped me pretty good one night outside a bar that I still remember well. It'* something inside you that cant be purchased in a bottle. If I hadnt used my weight and stopped thinking I could box him toe to toe he'd have finished turning my face to hamburger. It was all I could to to just hold him in a clench till we both tired enough to cool off.

I agree with Venom, but if you find yourself stuck in an apartment or a dorm, take the stairs, walk across campus, try to incorporate as much exercise as possible into your daily routine.
