No alignment yet, but driving it home the tire place I noticed it may need one come spring. The car tracks straight still. It'* off such a little bit I will put it off till spring. I drive down a lot of dirt roads that are bumpy so it seems like I need to have an alignment done every other oil change on my vehicles.

The UP in MI got nailed. I think they ended up with a foot and a half of snow. I think it is too early for snow yet, but oh well. I can get the snowmobile out this weekend maybe. If we get 3 inches of snow that sticks.

Tomorrow when I wake up, or today for most of you I'm taking the yukon down and getting it washed and vacuumed and I'm going to check all the fluids. Friday we are headed down to So cal and taking my daughter to the happiest place on earth for her birthday. Then we spend the rest of the week with the in-laws. Yay!

Yup, but my wife is from Orange County so we are staying with some of her freinds and her parents so we won't have to pay for hotels.

So apparently the car wash is closed on a rainy day which is fine because I always get a pang of guilt when I hand the guy my credit card to pay someone else to clean my car when I'm perfectly capable of doing it myself. So that'* what I did, vacuumed the whole thing and cleaned and treated the leather seats. The outside will have to wait for better weather.

Topped off all the fluids and I think I'm ready to hit the road!

i have worked on so many cars over the past few weeks i cant even recall them all. in the past week, ive changed the headlight assemblies on a pt cruiser (boy was that fun) rear t-case seal valve cover gasket, oil pressure sensor and catback exhaust on a cherokee brakes on a crv, brakes on an accord brakes on a camry and an ac compressor/belt/alternator/tensioner on a 98' 88 royale. (ac compressor went out and the drag killed all the pullies apart from the harmonic balancer)

so many side jobs, i dont have time for my own junk. over the past 2 months ive slowly been trying to fix my new car. at this point, ive replaced the cradle bushings, inner and outer tie rods, sway bar links, control arms axles struts, brakes and the trailing arms. the last thing to diagnose on it is the vibration in the rear end between 20 and 30mph, and the fact the rear end moves SIDE TO SIDE when the suspension is compressing or rebounding.

for the time being, im driving the old car. in 5 years the biggest fix i have really HAD to do is wheel bearings brakes and a shift solenoid. should have never bought the new one. grrrrr.

well, not so much new. its another 99 PA i bought in april. found out the cradle bushings were bad on the "old" 99, and was quoted 1600. having never done them, and not being able to find anyone who had, i jumped into buying another one. got a job at advance auto and then the cradle bushings started making noise on the "new" car. asked one of my commercial customers and he told me loosen the bolts and put a pry bar between the cradle and body and slide em out. worked like a charm. 2 hours of work. i was so frustrated when i found out i could have put in 2 hours of work instead of buying an entirely different car.
