What did you do with your car/truck or shop today? V2.0
"all i have to pay is 100 and even then it wont necessarily be 922 so some of that insurance money might cover my deductible."
Remember, just because it is a non-chargeable claim, it doesn't mean they won't raise your rates, and raise them big. That happened to me. I learned my lesson, I only make a claim if it is a big one.

I carry full coverage on my vehicles and I report any claim no matter how small. I have never had my rates go up on me.
On my older cars it can be more difficult to get the work done because some of these shops don't want to even less around with a 20 year old car that needs insurance work.

i already have everything i need for doing those things in my garage. i just need a lift to make it nice. ive thought about doing side work before but didnt want the hassle i guess. but when i hear how much people pay for brakes, struts and body work compared to the cost of the parts it makes me want to get into it. a/c too i have my cert from work people pay ridicules money for. residential and automotive
I can do most of the work myself. After my Cutty was wrecked from the back and the insurance company wanted to total it for about 1,500 dollars worth of damages. I never filed the claim from that. I just fixed it myself on my own dime. Wasn't that hard to do. I did take it to a shop and I asked them to make sure the body was in alignment and it was.
Really I think it depends on all factors. If you've had a lot of at-fault accidents, tickets, or other violations they would use it as an excuse to raise the rates, but if in general you're a non problematic customer they might not.
