Tried to change an inner tie rod on the Caddy yesterday and today and failed. No auto parts stores, within 30 miles, have the removal tool I need. So I ended up buying one, I think I can use, from Sears, but will take a week to get here. Kinda odd that the inner tie rod takes a 23mm or a 15/16" wrench then has a big piece of plastic, but on the new one it takes a 1 7/16" right where the big piece of plastic was on the other one.

This the tool I bought hoping it works.

I drove a bit over 200 miles. Got back home about 2 hours ago. Just chilling now.

Took the rear bumper off my truck today. Getting the 4 bolts out were easy, but the PO added extra metal to the bumper, extra brackets, and welded to the frame of the truck. Once I got it off, I realized how heavy it was.

I stuck my head into my attic and I think I found part of a fender. I'm guessing 55-57 Chevy and it was a lite green/teal color.

First post in this thread.

Today, took the Cruise Missile to the shop for an oil change and a brake inspection. Found out that I need a whole 'nother parking brake pedal assembly... and that they're only sold at the dealership. :( Also replaced my air filter with a K&N... and, in the process, removed a HUGE yellow fuzzball from the airbox. Anyone else get those?

And, since it'* my first post and I have some catching up to do... yesterday, I took advantage of the 73-degree sunny weather and cleaned my wheels and tires and de-oxidized my headlights. Sadly, my wheels (stock, 10 years old) are wearing out, and I'm looking at replacements.
