Worked on the 2 button 4wd on a 1998 S10. Lights indicated it was in 4wd, but it wasn't. Did some research and found likely problem was vacuum related. Discovered vacuum lines that were so deteriorated they crumbled into tiny pieces of dust as I removed them. Put on new lines and went for a test drive. Not sure if I fixed all the 4wd problems, but I could not get the S10 stuck in the snow.

I had a bad day in my garage. I tried adjusting my hood on my truck, but couldn't get it right. Then I tried to put my carb spacer on, but didn't have the right bolts to do it. Last, I took apart one of the rear drums and just realized the brake shoes are 3/4" too small. So I'll have to take them back to Autozone.

Overall, I got nothing done in 4 hours.

I also failed on making a new linkage for my transfer case to the lever. I tried using a turnbuckle, but it was 1/2" too short.

Drove to work today, had some snow last night. There I saw a car in the ditch, must have been a fresh run. I could see the back up lights going on and off. But he was at a good 45* angle, he'* not going anywhere. Nope, I'm not stopping. Don't want to be late for work, and I don't want to risk getting a ticket for pulling him out.
