The tool I bought a week ago didn't work for me, but found out where the other type of inner tie rod tool goes. I didn't know a piece of plastic covering that part was just a cover. I bought the right tool and 2 new rear rotors Saturday. I tried changing the inner tie rod, but the c-clip wasn't made right. So I ended up grinding part of it away. I got the tool to fit, but my impact wasn't doing crap. 300ft/lb my @$$. I grabbed a ratchet and 2 ft pipe and took the inner tie rod off with ease.

I took the rear brake pads off and walked down to Autozone to get new brake pads since they have a lifetime warranty. I got there and they couldn't find the warranty, but they gave me them anyways. They tried giving the 1 year warranty ones and I told them they were lifetime Duralast rear brake pads. I got back changed the rotor on one side then tried turning the caliper in, but it would not move. I tied the other side and I got it to move just fine. I ended up going back to Autozone and order a rear brake caliper. $62 for it and $62 for core charge. Caliper won't be here til Wed.

Now, I have to hitch a ride to work for a couple days.

Well, it'* in the low 40s here right now. Taking my son to school, and then I'm pulling the engine and trans out of gunners car. I might take a picture or two.

Yesterday I finally got my neighbor to give up the 3rd stall in my shop. Ya, I'm loosing $40 a month, but the space is so worth it. So first thing I did was sweep and start moving a few things.

Look at that, so much space.

The shop is now huge. I so love it. Might have to fill it up a bit with a Fiero, or perhaps more tools.

This will do for now, but my plan is when it warms up a bit the far left stall that just opened up will be daily parking, and then winter storage for the car. The far right stall where SSExi is parked now will be the work area. I'm going to build a big work bench with storage and shelfs over it. And the tool boxes will be under the bench. The center stall will be the main work area, as well as winter daily parking. I would really like to get a small scissor lift in the center stall, then build up the floor a bit around it with 2x6 so parking will be easier.

I think this shelf is starting to strain a but under the load off all that horse power. Time to start selling a few. One should be gone in a few days.
