dunno. the sho is geared a tad higher i believe. the sho does do 50-55 in first gear though because it tachs out at 7grand. its governed at 7600 only to preserve the acessories like alt and stuff, but the engine is designed to handle 8200+. any body raced a SHO?

I wish. I've even offered money but they deny. Trust me you'll whop you're mom. She has 140hp tops. Don't try racing a ser 2 L67 though, you will have a problem. My OLD 93' 88 L27 with 2.84 granny gearing beat a 3.8 L Cougar 4 car lengths to 60mph, on the track that is. That engine is what you're mom prolly has.

Mmmmmmmm, SHO. I love the SHO. It was either one of those or a SSEi for my first car. I have driven in a couple SHO'* and boy, those suckers are fast. My dad and I were test driving a manual '94 and we had a little fun with a mustang. Couldn't tell if it was V6 or V8, but we showed him up. Those engines love to be given some RPM'*, they just explode when you drop it into third and punch it on the highway. Although, they are pretty high maintenance. They need to have a major tune-up every 60k miles. And the transmissions aren't that great I have heard.

rjolly87, have you had many problems with your SHO? What year is it? You have to do a lot of maintenance work on it?

dunno yet. only had it about 2 months. car fax says that it changed hands at around 60,000 miles. kinda wondering if that first maintenance was done on it or not. yes the tranny is crap, hangs in first when its cold. look in the sig for all the info you need.
