Beauty!

Things really start to take shape once the drywall goes up. The interior spaces take their definition.

Almost time for finishes! Can't wait to see that stuff go in.

John, did you get to choose the hardware? cabinets? appliances? colors? floor finishes etc?

We picked all the flooring (carpet, hardwood, vinyl), cabinets, appliances (stainless steel Whirlpool). We are letting them do the lighting and sink fixtures. They did well in the other houses, so we trust them with that stuff. Front door will have a large window in it, eventually. There will be a chandelier in the room with the semi-circular window on top, and I think in the dining room (tray ceiling).

I'm guessing (without ANY help from the new thread title) that they forgot to put wrap under the siding.

Am I in the ballpark?

One suggestion i'm going to make. Do NOT skimp on the insulation. Get the 30 rated minimum. 45 will make you're house soundproof and as efficient as it gets. My parents went the cheap route and wind noise is obnoxious, the vinal siding creaks loundly, and its difficult to heat and cool. Plus I can hear things outside even with my windows shut.

Chipboard is used alot these days but not a great choice. Not putting Tyvek between the chipboard and siding is inexcusable. What are the big holes above the upper window. The upper window looks a little out of square where it'* open at the bottom. ( Maybe the angle of the shot.)The electrician missed the meter box by a mile. The facia board has twisted where the ends butt. Overhang is too short.???

No wrap!! We were there on Friday and neither of us noticed till we reviewed the pics last night... I'm gonna talk to the contractor today. I'm guessing they only got that much siding becuase they realized they were doing something stupid. The house across the street has been wrapped for a month.

The holes near the peak... they seem to do that a lot around here, I can only guess it is for ventilation while they work. I've seen them patch it on others.

The window is square. Does the meter need to be right above the wiring? The fuse box is in the garage right above where that wiring is.

Most Obviously, the Tyvek is missing. How did they even get a dry-in inspection without it? DO NOT let them continue without it!!!
