Ok lets see here. Ugly Aveo, European Malibu, Slower GP, Betrayed C6 Vette. Oh yeah but its all ok, since now GM sells a V8 bonneville.........which is FWD.......same speed at L67..........more gas consumption.....but at least it sounds better......

GMC Canyon, is THE best engine innovation so far in the automotive industry, at least GMC is going in the right direction. More powerful cars? My rear end.

Listen, we are NOWHERE near the competition. Name a sedan that competes with the G35 in 0-60 ? (5.9s manual) BMW 330i (6.1s) Oh? None? Oh ok cool.

GM needs a RWD Bonneville, with 340+ hp, and 0-60 in low 5'* to ride back to the top again. None of this high 6'* $hit. Sorry boys, its true. We may have been a ahead when the L67 first came out, but now, stock, it gets whooped on hard by alot of the new cars. Not to mention these new vehicles with the compression so high, with exhaust mods theyre seeing increases of like 10+ wheel horsepower.

GM is not heading in the right direction. DONT even get me started on the 7 second SSR for $40k.
You do sound like a dipshit. You said it, not me. Regal, you know this is a GM forum. Posting tripe like that will invite flames. A blind man would know this. Either keep your mouth shut, or try to find a better way to form your thoughts, or find another forum to post on.

My family has never driven anything else other than a GM, so no. And no I dont want it more liek IMPORTS AT ALL. Your not reading, I said more performance, like the imports OFFER. I dont like that tight cheap plastic crap like they offer. And the ride in a GM car will always be better than the Accords, Maxima'* and Altima'*.

And this isnt only GM dump on, I hate the New Lexus GS front grille. Theyre all going technical like Beemer with that Idrive crap, taking away from the driving experience by controlling half the stuff for you. No. I dont agree with buying a beemer, I never would, way overpriced. Im just saying, GM should make a car that CAN COMPETE with the rest of the world, in every class reasonable!! They, DONT. And instead of striving to, it seems they are getting SLOWER. Thats all im saying.....

This is a message board with grown men, I have showed the numbers, I have proved what they have demonstrated with their new vehicles, if it pisses you off to no extent to know its fact, im sorry, thats life. You think im going to kiss *** because im GM loyal? Hell no.

1998 Grand Prix GT 0-60 7.6s
2004 Grand Prix GT1 0-60 8.1s

Yet again, what the hell..........

A flame would be inviting it, and asking for it. This is truly just an opinion with fact, not flame worthy. If you can put up the numbers to prove me wrong please do so, but it wont happen.

You know, Im loyal to this board, to GM, and to Pontiac. I am not agree-ing, or disagree-ing with Regal, I don't have and I don't know the facts but what I do know is this has been a friendly place for me to come and ask questions, post remarks and share opinions. I have done my share of tounge biting (not a lot mind you) in keeping the anti-pontiac, anti-bonneville, anti-GM stuff to myself. 94Regal posted some anti stuff, inciting anger and eliciting more opinions. If he backed it up with fact whats the problem? (again I don't know if it is or is'nt, and Im not going to bother looking). Its not like he said "I think Bonneville'* stink becuase they look like old fart cars" or "Bonnevilles are slow" and not backed up either claim with figures.

I know we are supposed to watch what we say (language wise), but come-on, we can't express an opinion if it is anti pontiac/GM/Bonneville??

Some people think that GM is heading in the right direction with their new styles, and mechanical implementations and designs, some people don't; only time will tell and who are we to predict the future?

This is just my two cents, I've been here long enough (and that'* not that long) to know this is going to incite further flaming, I don't want to be banned: I really do like this place!

I have to agree. I understand if upper management is reeling from recent flame wars, but I think that responses to Regal'* opinions can still be carried on in a civil fashion. I've said my opinions favoring Fords on this GM forum, and yet maintained a level playing field. I love this forum because of the respect for each other'* opinions. I, for one, would hate to see that squelched...

I have to admit, I'm actually surprised to see this kind of response...

I invite all to continue this discussion and thanks for not letting it get out of control.

Personally there are some things not there in GM'* lineup, but you can't compare GM to BMW or anyone yet. I started this to see what people thought about where GM was going, not what they're doing at this second. They can't just go from point a to b, this is a transition period for them. Personally the new GP is a great car, and it'* being very well recieved. You can't compare the old GT to the new GT01, because the GT01 is the base car now, and the SE was the base car.

There are things i don't like, such as the Aztec or the likeness of all pontiacs, but things are boding well for them.

You have to remember, every car they make isn't geared towards enthusiasts, and a brand new GT01 still hauls $&(*#. It'* not going to touch an f body, but it'* not made too.

I'll say i don't like ford or dodge, but it'* actually a car per car basis. There are some cars from each manufactuer i'd be very happy with, but there are many things i don't like about them.

I just wanted to see what you guys thought of where this was goin. It'* only getting better IMHO.

Your post was discussed offline, Regal. That'* why I posted this option:

try to find a better way to form your thoughts
Other members have expressed a distaste for the way your negativity is expressed. Since this forum is all about the members, the Staff here makes decisions based on the common 'good' or wishes.

Yes, you are entitled to your own opinion. But just as the rules were specified for Kill Stories, find a more positive way to form your thoughts that won't incite argument or ill-feeling in other members.
