That seems to be true about the stock C5/C6 variation. ZR1 though? Young person with money kinda car.

A C5/C6 with a manual transmission and some basic mods is no slouch. Doesn't take much to get them up around 500 HP.

thats why i like f-bodies, good compromise between decent ride and handling. and power is good. if you get one with a ls and 6spd they get decent mileage too

Which reminds me, I need to take pics of the 99 T/A WS6 now that the engine work is almost done. Not quite ready to dyno it or take it to the track, still need to rig up a second fuel pump, get a carbon fibre drive shaft and put in a stronger rear end. I don't even remember all the mods, but some of them are:
  • LS6 block
  • cam
  • heads
  • rockers and springs
  • lifters
  • 60 psi fuel injectors
  • bullet proof bellhousing
  • upgraded clutch master cylinder
  • Procharger P1SC supercharger
  • High output oil pump
  • 8 rib pulley system
  • double gear timing chain
  • LSX intake manifold
  • wideband O2 sensors
  • remote clutch bleeding system
  • gages for boost and air/fuel ratio
  • upgraded the Tramec T56 6-speed manual transmission with forged steel shifter forks, bronze wear pads and Timken bearings
  • Kooks long tube headers
  • tune by HP Tuners and my son the engine calibration engineer
Can't let it go from a stop because the HP it is running will twist the prop shaft like a pretzel and/or tear out the rear end. Can't go WOT because one fuel pump can't get up and it goes lean.

On paper it should run around 650HP and redline around 7,000 RPM. A little more work then it goes Stang hunting.

Anyone an economy expert? I have been hearing mixed things on what the economy will do in 2013. Have been advised by more than a few people to sell my stocks. Even my grandmother who has never sold a single stock in her life recently sold every last stock. She has been buying stocks since 1968 she told me today. So something clearly has her worried.

^ good point. I searched around about that topic earlier today.

I picked up a license plate from a yard sale. I dunno what it means, but thought it would look cool in the garage.

30 carbs is actually a diet plan. But who the hell would put that on a license plate??

1930'* carb'd engines?

Or, its a .30 carbine. or the M1 carbine. Which, would make sense. License plate at a garage sale=WW2 vet passed away and that was a popular weapon during and after WW2. Case solved. NEXT!
