Good point. I was thinking of that too. I rolled over more than $3000. Technically I'm still paying for it.

I got less than $6,000 for the trade. If it ever comes up in court, which I think it will, I wouldn't say I owned it still. That would be perjury. I just don't know if a judge would award me much if any for a car I don't have. :? Although, if he doesn't answer my claim or doesn't come to court, I should win automatically. That'* what I hope happens.

I guess I could argue that I HAD to trade it due to an issue with my daily driver. I could say that since he had extra keys to my car he could come by and steal it at any time, and I didn't want that.
Sorry if I missed something here, I am unable to take the time to read all 10 pages. I guess I don't understand how when you traded in the car for your '03, that you are still responsible for the other car. Does this dealer do things differently? Everytime I have traded it a car it becomes soley the dealers responsibility and what they sell it for (or if they don't sell it even) is no longer my concern. I'm guessing I missed something in one of the 19 pages, but can someone enlighten me?

Summary, TFC decided to sell the car through the dealer on consignment, in other words, he still owns the car, but the dealer does the work of selling it, for a fee.
It didn't sell for a long time, so TFC took the car back, and found that the dealer had put a ton of miles on it, and damaged some pieces. Also he found items inside that clearly pointed to the dealer using it for his own personal driving, not just test drives.
Dealer refused to compensate him for the miles/damage, and also won't surrender the keys.
Later, TFC traded the car in at another dealer.

None as of now. I filed the papers a month ago and haven't received any sort of confirmation that they have been filed. I was just thinking about it last week actually. I thought I would be getting something in the mail by now.

This is going to be a long process though. I'll probably be updating this thread from now until a YEAR from now. I could use the money now too!
