Dealership rip-off - May 14, 2008 update - PAGE 22
Well, Pat, if anyone asks if you still have the car tell them you sold it to the first person you told you were looking to sell it. As for the price, tell them you sold it for enough to satisfy you, which is what you were looking to get from the dealer -who should have had no trouble selling it, had it really been on his lot -with a For Sale sign or window sticker, viewable by the public eyes.

Wow, I just read the whole thing - over the course of several hours.
Excellent job putting this ***** in his place so far! Best of luck in court (not that you should need it)!
Keep us posted. I'll be watching with the rest of the interested crowd now.

A girl I work with went to small claims many years ago. After she filed papers, she was contacted by a TV show (Judge Joe Brown IIRC) and was asked to appear on the show with her case. She refused. But the interesting thing about going on those shows according to her, is that if you win, you will get your money regardless. Collecting will not be as much of a pain.
So maybe I can appear on TV TWICE about this case.
And if I don't have to waste so much time and effort trying to collect my money, that would be great.

That'* funny. I have told my wife all about this and we think you should go on People'* Court. Let Judge Millian tear this guy a new a$$ hole (plus she'* kinds hot
)
I think win or lose you are guaranteed some money, like they payout up to a certain amount ($5,000) and the two parties split the difference. Something like that. Plus, like you said, the guy would get to make an a$$ out of himself twice.

Yep, court papers will be filed Friday. I know, I know....I wanted to get it done a long time ago. But when the 94 'broke' and I started the new car search I've had to put this off. Ever since getting the 03 I've been struggling to scrape money together to register it. Every time I've wanted to get the papers filed I honestly have not had the spare $35, or the time off of work to go to the court again (I already tried to file the papers before).
I have this Friday off and I will be registering the car AND getting the papers filed for GOOD. Let'* hope I don't get the same arsehole at the court clerk'* office this time.
It will be a long time before I see this money when I win. I could really use it now.
