I'm soooo glad to see that finally air. I would definitely push it all the way... he stole from you and should be investigated by the district attorney. I hope they go through his entire list of consignment cars and owners.

Great video. But I'd honestly recc letting it go now. You can fight it, get a lawyer, etc... but let me tell ya a story:

My Bro bought a 69 camaro from a dealership about the same size. Supposedly rebuilt motor, new this, new that. Ran fine for 5 miles. And then he found out it didn't have any of the things advertised, the motor was a sham, on and on and on.

My Bro got a lawyer, who said it was an "open and shut" case of fraud. And it really was.

So he sued him.

Unfortunately, at least here in MO, they have this neat little trick called continuances. The case was continued for 5 YEARS. They got depositions, witnesses, the whole shebang.

Never did go to court, the guy finally settled and my Bro broke slightly ahead of even. But it'* 5 years of grief he'll never get back.

Some (IMO, most) car dealers, especially the smaller ones - are scum, or whatever is lower than that. They would much rather spend $25,000 on a lawyer, than pay you your $500 (or whatever it is).... I don't know why this is.

Also, I know a number of people who work in dealerships. You guys don't even want to know the innumerable ways they have/use to screw you, I mean... it'* bad. Very, very bad. I get into arguments with them all the time about it. And when you finally have 'em cornered, and no way out other than to admit they are scum.... they do what they do best and find a loophole in your logic. Or change the subject and refuse to revisit it.

Very smart (not all, but most), very dishonest, very motivated people.

I'd say you got even, and now you have a record you can enjoy from time to time.

The only other suggestion I could make is to use the internet against him. There was a deal sometime back about a guy who found somebodys cell phone, and like idiots, used it to take pictures, which went to the guys account, which he then downloaded and had proof positive of not only who took it, but where it was. It turned into a total nightmare for the people who wouldn't give the phone back - people driving by their house yelling obscenities, all sorts of things.

This won't get you your money back, but it might drive him out of business. Course He'll just open up down the block a week later.

J. Pierpont Finch- true but hey i would be doing the same as Pete. I would not spend much or any $ on getting him back, but i would make sure that his Company went to hell and also i would make his life hell just for spite.

Theres one thing i dont mess around with and thats $. Someone takes my $ and i will do everything to get it back and if not i will bug the Crap out of that person so that they wish they gave it back.


But back on topic.

The key I have is a special key with a chip in it. Not too hard to program. I got a duplicate blank on eBay and had a Chrysler dealership program it for me in no time. I doubt he'd try and steal it. But it has crossed my mind. If he tried to steal it in the past couple weeks, he would have been SOL since the battery'* been dead for a while (currently charging). lol

If I don't hear from him or get reimbursed by next Monday evening, I'll go to the AG. I could take him to small claims court as well, and it wouldn't cost me much. I wouldn't (shouldn't) need a lawyer to get this guy where it hurts. I've probably (hopefully) already done some damage to his business.

I definitely am not spending much if ANY money trying to get reimbursed. I don't have any to begin with.

Great job Pete, I wonder why is it taking him so long it'* not like these are expensive things to replace. You should take him to The People'* Court or Judge Mathis lol . That way you can sue him and get on t.v. again
