Bonne is Gone !!! Accident question.
I can buy my Bonne back for $300 after a front end collision at 45MPH where air bags deployed and front end is crushed about a foot back from the headlights. I'm thinking I can part this out and get way more than that back.
I was also considering buying an older Bonne on it'* last legs (200,000 miles) and putting some of my good parts in to make a Whole car again. Anyone undertake such an adventure? I guess I'd like to know how interchangeable the parts are from year to year? I have a 97, but if I found a 96 or a 98 would 99% of the parts interchange?
Here are my particulars: 97 Bonneville SE, 40th anniversary, leather interior, power seats, Silver.
I don't know for sure if the engine is ok, but it wasn't hit. It did stop at the accident but I don't know if the engine is cut off when the bags deploy?
Thanks for your thoughts, Lance
