Default Here Yesterday....Gone Today - Pontiac Dealership is GONE!!!

After 31 years, the Dealership (Sifford Pontiac) that I bought The Vibe from is no more. I guess it'* just another sign of the times. Then again, it had a pretty good run. It out lasted all the other GM Dealerships that were in this area, including a Cadillac, Chevy, Buick and, of course, Oldsmobile. Fortunately, that old Cadillac dealership is now a Toyota dealership (where I can get parts and service for the Vibe), and another Pontiac dealer is about 5 miles away(it also sells Buicks and Chevys). Still, it was nice feeling I a had a Pontiac dealership that I could walk to.

I would check up on your warranty if you have one. I heard that there is a deductible for warranty work when you go to another dealership.

Hmmmm...in the small town where my in-laws live, there used to be a Huge Ford dealer, a Chevy Dealer, Dodge Dealer and Pontiac Dealer.
The on ly ones left are Ford and Pontiac, and the Pontiac Dealer bought out Chevy and now sells pretty much all GM vehicles.

Jeeze, I hope not
But, how would this work, if say you bought a Certified used car with the original bumper to bumper warranty still in effect? Especially if you bought it at, say, a Chevy dealer.

I just called GM Warranty(1.877.733.7832). They said that I could go to any GM Dealership and there is No Deductible for Warranty Work.
