Default Success at last!

So I am now pleased to report I got my 07 Tahoe back from the shop today and my mechanic did it. I can’t believe he figured it out, god is great! Now I can share with you all how said miracle was achieved. So the pn: 15886733 everyone wants but can’t seem to find, was discontinued, and now GM recommends using part number: 25833069 (6 pin terminal & tab @ 4:30 position as well!) at bottom I’ll share the link of where to buy it. After the new steering position sensor was installed, it finally set to 0 degrees, however would still show codes and message on dash, he then replaced the connector for the sensor as well and low and behold, issue resolved! I’d first like to thank god, my family, of course my mechanic, and all the money spent in the pursuit! Lol needless to say I’m very relieved, hope this longwinded essay I just wrote up helps...
p.*. the part shipped in like 3 days!

That'* great news!

Thank you for posting this. We see this come along often enough that I know your information will be a great help to folks for a long time.

Glad it worked out, and glad you found the right mechanic . . . who actually knew how to fix it.

[ill buy the extra i need one as well QUOTE=Kenan92;1636749]Yes! I had a guy pull one off a 2010 Z71 Tahoe and it will be on mine tomorrow, I also purchased another item on Ebay and am waiting for it to come in. If everything is cool with the one I just put on I’d happily sell the extra.

Default Don’t bother, come to terms

I’d say maybe 3-4 days after my last post when I thought the issue was resolved and the new steering position sensor was installed, the stabilitrak light came back on. I have now spent well over 3,000$ chasing this when that fact is no matter what we do, it’ll always come back. It’* a terrible system and honestly you’re better off just living with it. Mine comes on periodically and yeah a bit of me dies every time it does but you’ll learn to live with it.

Without knowing more about the specific diagnosis on sheraust'* vehicle. I suggest we shouldn't discourage repairs. On all of these that I've seen from . . .

JDUB827
Randoda
Jibarra123
akassner
Kenan92
sheraust

. . . I still haven't seen a clear diagnosis. I'm not saying this hasn't been done by related parties, just that I haven't seen it. I have seen on many cars oddball contributors to the dreaded [Stabilitrak Light] from other places, such as a malfunctioning electronic throttle body.

Until a true diagnosis is made, it'* worth looking into.
