That’* the retort I was expecting. So, we can agree that your friend knows how to drive his Trans Am. I even agree with you that the game changes when the cars are rolling. (Typically cars do 0-60 mph significantly faster than they do 5-60 mph). I just have a hard time getting my mind around a stock Maxima pulling on a stock Trans AM WS6 - even at 10/15 mph. A stock Maxima does, at best, a 14.5 second 1/4 mile. I am, by no means, calling you a liar; I am just stating my confusion.

The Pontiac Firebird comes equipped with a N/A 3.8L engine - the same 3.8L found in almost everyone'* Bonneville. It is the Trans Am that comes equipped with an 5.7L LS1 engine.
I am thinking Silver meant "newer Trans Am".

I never really think about any Firebird with less than a 5.7 engine, unless it'* turbo or supercharged, to be a real Firebird.......just a poser.
No offense to NA Bonne owners, but the Firebird is a different kind of car than the Bonne. A lot more visceral.

No, they never had the need to SC the N/A 3800 in the Firebird because it still coundn't compete with an LS1.
Exactly, Silver. You can get a "Formula Firebird" with a V8 option, but most people who are not familiar these cars still think you have a "Trans Am."
Also, I, too, never think of a true Firebird with less than a 5.7L engine.
