It'* inevitable that crap will start up again but when it does it will be concentrated in one section and easier for the Staff to deal with it. And since now we've seen the consequences of whats happened maybe we can prevent it from this again.
That'* my harvest penny.

And this is different than what we have now how?
As Rogue has stated YET AGAIN! How will this section prove different than the present Kill Stories Section? Hmmm? Some people will NEVER learn from either mistakes of others or their own mistakes! You've even said it yourself that it WILL eventually turn into what we already have now Smellird! I think the STAFF here is already sick of babysitting! I would like to think we're ALL adults here! But these "childish" acts keep wondering to contrary!

I wouldn't miss Kill Stories, but I have no good ideas for how to replace it. Pretty much everything I can think of could already be posted in the lounge or general. The advantage to that, in my opinion, is that if it is not appropriate for one of those two, it can be moved, deleted, or locked easier.

Personally, for those that just need to report thier kills, or flag others, there'* a million (well, maybe only 800,000) other car forums out there that enjoy watching the fights.

Personally, I want the only name calling and whatnot I see hear to between those of us who joke with each other and know it'* all in good fun (i.e., the punk kid postwhore and monkeyboy). Whne it get'* to the point where people actually get mad, it loses it'* appeal.

Kill Stories weren't just on the street or about you killing your competetor it could be at the strip or about you being killed.

I don't think doing away with Kill Stories will solve the problem. You have to punish the individuals or they'll find ways to stir up trouble in another forum.

Both a very valid points here!
So how do ensure that it doesn't get "out of hand" then? I believe that this type of "entertainment" is NOT needed here on BC, as it shows other people visiting how immature "we" all are! People visiting get an impression from the posts we all write! If they see crap & name calling etc, we get "labeled" as such & these visitors may never come back or worse, tell their friends to avoid us! We have to look at the big picture. What is BC'* purpose here on the net???? Is it too give advice & show others how friendly we are? Or is it to show others how immature we all are?

I still say we abolish this section & replace it with better educational content (to be determined at a later date)! Look what we've got right now for sections. It'* quite alot really! Besides....according to the posts I've read so far in two different threads the majority doesn't even read this section let alone want it to stay!

I do enjoy reading funny things, or how someone played with another car with a cute girl in it or whatever, i agree the bs is just that bs. They know who they are, and for the most part have ignored this thread. I'd love an "on the road" part, maybe we could discuss different driving techniques, tricks too? I know not everyone knows how to do a reverse 180 in their car..... Or launching, etc. Maybe just a plain old "Driving" section.

That sounds good. And Driving Skills can also teach how to launch, do 180'* like Jason said, and other tricks.

Yeah it could focus on that stuff, and if you did something neat that allowed you to beat something that was beyond the norm that'd be cool to post. But to say you wasted a 10 year old dodge minivan, or a viper GTS-r wouldn't. We could discuss things we see on the road etc too.

Although with this silly parking brake and release handle it'll be harder...

Everyone is making valid points from their own perspective. The real question is this:

Should the whole club be punished for the actions of a very few?

The next question would be:

What happened to Kill Stories? It used to be well-behaved!

The last question would be:

What can we do to try to save this section for those that want it (last chance for damn sure). Chew on these for awhile. Don and I will watch the answers. We've already discussed a tentative path forward, but (even though we're old) we may be open for further suggestions.

Personally i think a driving/road section is more beneficial, no one really cares about kills anyways. The only ones who :might: are the ones who caused these problems, and most of them haven't even looked at this.
