Painting a hood now or later.
I have a question..
I am moving soon, so I need to go ahead and put my new hood on finally, I have the money to paint it, but really cannot afford to do the whole car atm..
The hood is primed in flat black I think, never pulled it all the way from the box, all I know is that it is OEM and cost me 415$ a few years back...
Should I out it on as it is and just get the whole care pained when I can afford to do so, or should I take it somewhere and get it pained to protect it since all it has is a primer coat on it?

I would get the hood painted which protects it, looks better, & allows you time when you are ready to then paint the whole car.
Somehow I think you would like to look at a freshly painted hood, rather than having to look at flat black!

That is what I was thinking, but then the hood would look better than everything else, lol
At lease it would be protected though, I just need to find some place better than Maaco...

Maybe paint it with a rattle-can for now so it is protected, then paint it for real later.
