Default CarbonFiber Hood!!!

We just finished up my buddies hood off of his neon.
We painted the hood gun metal silver, and let that dry up real good. then we layed out dry wall tape the mesh style. after that we sprayed black paint and immediately pulled off the dry wall tape. then we sprayed 4 coats of clear coat. the end result was a pretty sweet looking carbon fiber hood.
im thinking of doing mine on my bonneville.
Any thoughts???

You mean a faux carbon fiber? FAKE? Is there a reason you don't want it to match the rest of the car?

I wouldn't do it to my car...do you have pictures? I never heard of someone painting a hood to look like CF.

I'd like to see the results. Not for a hood, but it'* be a neat affect for, say, and engine cover. Maybe dash panels....

We need pics dude!!

I wouldnt put it on my car. WIth all the respect in the world that is rice, considering it is slowing down the car, and trying to make it look faster at the same time........

Our front end is so light with the plastic fenders you can't get a good launch because the weight transfers. No need for CF hoods.
